The following inscription was obtained from records kept at Bedfordshire Record Office of memorial inscriptions that were taken in the early 1900s by Arthur Weight Matthews. I am not sure but I don't think the stone exists now, or is extremely weathered. A couple of folks have said they've looked aroud Lidlington Churchyard and not seen it, but feel free to take another look if you're passing that way.

William Biggs and his family saw much change in their lifetimes and it's hard to know how much they expected those changes. Although William didn’t go far from Lidlington and its surrounds as far as we know, his children were probably the first generation that really "left home". Why?
